1st OB/GYN Appointment

Today we had our 1st OB/GYN appointment which lasted 2 hours longer then we had expected but all worth it. And we never even met w/ the doctor. First we went over a lot of questions about family history. Then we went through all of the tests that are available and a bunch of brochures and I got a goodie bag. Then they gave me an exam. Then the cool part, WE GOT TO HEAR THE BABY'S HEART BEAT! They used this old time looking machine that they put on my stomach that had 2 ear pieces so we could both hear. It was amazing! The heart beat was going so fast. I go back in 4 weeks to have an appt. w/ the doctor. It gets more and more real each doctors visit!

3rd Time's a Charm!

Today we had our 3rd and final ultrasound with Dr. Katz. The heart beat and baby are much larger! Everything looked great and we're so happy & excited!

Out with the Old, In with the New

Today we said goodbye to Dr. Katz as he released us to my OB/GYN. I was sad to say goodbye because everyone there was so nice but I'm happy that part of our journey has ended.

Next Tuesday we start our new journey with Dr. Facciolo.

GG's

Tonight we told our Grandmothers (Granny & Grandma) that they're going to be GG's, Great Grandmothers! They were both so excited and happy for us!

There's a 1st for everything...

Today I purchased my 1st maternity piece of clothing! A black t-shirt that says "Oh Baby" in rhinestones. I bought it a little big so I can "grow into it". Cute!

We have a Heartbeat!

Today we went for our 2nd ultrasound. We got to see our baby's heartbeat! It was so amazing! It looked like a little flickering light. Dr. Katz said everything looked good. We go back March 20 and then I will be released to my OBGYN. I already made an appointment with her for March 27. We're very happy and relieved that this important appointment is behind us and everything is ok.

I've been feeling pretty well except for being very tired which isn't out of the norm for me:) Knock on wood I've had no morning sickness!
Tomorrow night we tell our Grandmothers...YAY!

*Just a side note: The black is the sac and the baby is the white in the middle. If you look at our 1st ultrasound you'll see the baby is tiny and it's grown so much already.
