Our 1st ultrasound!

Today we had our 1st ultrasound! It was so cool, the nurse came in and typed my name on the screen. I was excited just from that! But then we saw our little lima bean!!! It was the coolest thing! Dr. Katz said everything looked great.

We go back March 8 at 8am to see the heart beat, that will be amazing!!!

Dr. Katz confirmed, my DUE DATE is OCTOBER 24!!!

Today I went for blood work to check my hormone levels again. Friday (2/16)they were 324 and it's supposed to double every 2-3 days. Today (2/19) they were 927, more then doubled! The nurse said that's great. We scheduled our first ULTRASOUND for Monday (2/26) at 8am! I can't wait! We'll be able to tell if we're having multiples or just 1 baby. 10 days after that ultrasound we'll go back for another to hear the heart beat~ I CAN NOT WAIT!

Telling our Family!

As soon as I got home from work Friday we started working on our plan. First we called my Mom and Paul. I told my Mom to get Paul on speaker phone with her because we wanted to discuss our Las Vegas trip. When they were both on the phone I said, "We just wanted to tell Grammy & Pop Pop that...WE'RE PREGNANT!" My Mom started screaming and they were both so happy. Then I called my Dad & Sandy and told them we have a belated Valentine's gift for them and we wanted to stop over. So I took a pregnancy test (which was positive!) and we put it in a box that you'd get a bracelet in and wrapped it up (see pictures). When they opened it Sandy's reaction was, "OOOO a new thermometer", she was trying so hard to be nice about it. I said "It's not a thermometer look closer" and my Dad says "Clear Blue, what's that". So finally I just blurted out, "IT SAYS PREGNANT, I'M PREGNANT!" They were so excited and surprised! Next stop, Barnes & Noble so I could get a book and pregnancy journal. We took a picture with my phone of a book that said "Having a Baby" on the cover. I sent the picture via text message to Jill. It took a few hours before she got it and called but she's so excited to be an Aunt! Then we went to dinner w/ Granny, Aunt Vicki & Uncle Harvey but we decided to only tell our parents and sisters right now so it was very difficult for me to keep quiet. After dinner we went to Mike's parents and told them we had their Anniversary gift. I handed Harriet a card that had a pregnant woman on the front and a test inside. She started screaming and crying and Fred was so excited and hugged me so tight. It was great. Then we called Lisa who's in Hawaii and Mike kept saying, "Hi Aunt Lisa, Hi Aunt Lisa" and I could hear her scream through the phone. Then we tried calling Amy who was at the movies, we stalked her in fact. She finally called back and Mike said, " Knuggs is very hurt you didn't call her on her birthday" and I said, "Amy, Knuggs is 2 years today and I'm about 4 weeks!" She said "What?" So I finally just yelled, "WE'RE PREGNANT!" It was so awesome telling our family but I can not wait to tell the rest of the family and all of our friends!!!

I'm PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today we found out the greatest new in the world, I'M PREGNANT!!! I can't believe it! I found out the news at work. I went for a blood work pregnancy test today. I was supposed to go Wednesday, Valentines Day, but we had a horrible storm and plus I was in no rush since I had all the symtoms of my period. The nurse called me at work and asked if this was Lauren and then asked if this was Lauren Halle because she wanted to make sure she was telling the right girl she was pregnant. The rest of the conversation was a blur. I was SO excited and in shock. She had already spoken to Mike so he knew and I called him right away. I am the happiest MOTHER in the world!
